Consultant's Role & Responsibilities
It is important that you begin within
two weeks of your assignment so that you will have enough time to complete
the program. The most effective way to reach your teacher is by fax.
If, after attempting twice, you are still unable to reach your teacher,
contact the JA office - 366-7800 - and we will assist you. Please be
mindful of the school's visitation policy; in most cases it is required that
you check in at the main office every time you visit the school.
- Make an observation visit; record the
number of students and special needs.
- Attend classes as scheduled; be prepared
and on time.
- Provide feedback to teachers after class.
- Advise the teacher of any schedule changes
as soon as possible; provide the teacher with a number where you can be
reached.
- Call students by name; be enthusiastic and
friendly.
- Use language the students can comprehend.
- No jeans, head gear, midriff, low-cut
tops or t-shirts; business casual attire only!
- Complete the
first class report.

other times you can be contacted.
